La palabra Dual en el idioma ingles, significa doble, la letra C surge de su apellido SELVIN CASTILLO MERIDA pero más que eso para DUAL C significa doble capacidad de convencer a alguien positivamente atraves de su música. DUAL C surge a principios del 2005, siempre de la mano de su hermano y productor RAUL CASTILLO MERIDA (DJ TOTTO 308 THE REAL BEAT) en donde a raíz del proyecto de componer, prod…ucir e interpretar música del genero urbano y fucionando ritmos como la Bachata, Reggaetón, la Salsa y el R&B, comienza el camino que los llevara a conformar el dúo, a pesar de los obstáculos sus ideas seguían firmes 2 años después conocen a JOSE LUIS RODRIGUEZ HERNANDEZ (TITI) formando parte del grupo como 2da voz, para finales del 2008 ya cuentan con la 1ra producción de nombre INSPIRACION que con 13 temas compuestos por DUAL C y con la colaboración de algunos productores nacionales se dan a conocer en las principales radios nacionales e internacionales con los temas LUNA, LLORE, y TU TRAICION, en el 2009 ya están en la lista del top 10 de las principales radios; 94.1 LA MARCA, 101.3 EXTREMA, 103.7 RADIO FIESTA y 104.9 TROPICALIDA con el tema SEÑORITA BONITA dándose a conocer aun mas en toda la republica de Guatemala cantando en discotecas eventos especiales y abriendo conciertos a cantantes internacionales, a finales del 2010 comienzan la gira TIGO FEST con la empresa TIGO por toda Guatemala, Al igual que firman con LETICIA RUIZ quien reside en U.S.A y actualmente es su REPRESENTANTE internacional. en el 2012 Titi se retiro como segunda voz del grupo para formar su propio proyecto Dejando a Dual C como Solista.
Actualmente su música se puede escuchar en todo el mundo por iTunes y todas sus afiliadas internacionales (NAPSTER, RHAPSODY, ZUNE, AMAZON MP3 and more), y hoy en día el grupo trabaja en su nueva producción musical siempre con la misma FE y PERSEVERANCIA que los mantiene, DUAL C señala que si no hay lucha no hay conquista que sin sueños no hay éxito y ve hoy apenas el inicio de su carrera. En los últimos años ha crecido internacionalmente Dual C con un club de fans en Guatemala dirigido por Nory polanco, Y dos clubs de fans en el extranjero uno en España dirigido por Pamela Ríos Y la más reciente de Canadá Dirigido por Cristy Giron , Dual C también ha estado dando entrevistas por teléfono a la radio española Estaciones nos enseña que los sueños se pueden lograr si se trabaja en él lo suficiente
